Setting up virus scanner exclusion
It is highly recommended that you add exclusion in your Windows Defender or other Virus scanner for the Griffin processes and the Griffin installation folder so the virus scanner doesn’t cause any issues with the Griffin processes. Here is a screenshot of the exclusions page for Windows Defender.
